Ok wine lovers, have we got a sweetheart of a tasting for you this pre-Valentine’s weekend.  Five wines – including a lovely French dessert wine plus a chocolate sample – will be on the menu!

First, we are sampling a new private label Pinot Gris from Washington state – it’s a crisp, medium light bodied white with bright fruit characteristics.

Our second wine is a sparkling rose from Italy – delicate pink, with persistent bubbles and aromas of rose and fresh citrus, this dry prosecco is wonderful as a before-dinner drink.

Number three on the menu is an Italian Primitivo – soft on the palate with notes of cherries and plums on the nose, this is a perfect wine paired with red pasta dishes.

Our fourth pour of the day is also a new private label wine.  This Syrah is a bold, full-bodied red with lots of dark fruit and a toasty finish.

Finally, we have a French dessert wine that we will be serving with some chocolates from Skirtz & Johnston

Bring your sweetie down to kick off your Valentine’s Day weekend!
